A Different Flavour of Favour Called Hate! Haters are Destiny Helpers, Sometimes.

Whose hearts he turned to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.’ Psalms 105:25

‘When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him. ‘Genesis 37:4 NIV

When God was ready to fulfill his promise to Abraham in delivering the children of Israel from Egypt, one of the first steps He took was, He made the Egyptians hate them. It was God that initiated the hatred!

Your favour might just be the reason why you are hated. God’s favour on an individual would usually make people look favourably on that individual and that is what we all want. Often, as we see from Psalms 105:25 and many other scriptures, hatred may also be included in the favour package. Remember, it was not Satan that first mentioned Job but God.It was the Magi that brought Jesus treasures from the East that also unwittingly caused his flight to Egypt.

If Jesus was not hated he would not have ended up on the cross. If Joseph was not hated he would not have ended up as a Prime Minister. If the Israelites were not hated they would have probably never left Egypt and would have been another lost race to history.  Sometimes, it looks as if Samuel anointing David a king was to thrust  him to a continuous cycle of love and hate, a common refrain in the Psalms is ‘they hated me without a cause.’ If Haman did not hate Mordecai there would not have been the book of Esther. If the Early Church were not hated and persecuted the gospel may have largely remained a Jerusalem institution.

There is a flavour of favour called hate, so be careful to not court being liked and desired at the expense of your destiny. Imagine what hefty price Joseph would have paid if he wanted Potiphar’s wife to not hate him. Or if Jesus had agreed to being made a king.

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. ‘John 15:18 NIV.

A different perspective, an alternative view into the world of hatred! It is a negative word but the outcome will not necessarily leave you negative. It carries some good for the so-called victim. Thank you Bosun. More grace!

Praise God, very compelling, giving one a deeper reflection of the realities of scripture.
    Brings to mind Romans 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God’s ways of turning evil purposes to our favour is not just incredible but often seeped in personal and introspective methodology.

Thank you for sharing such insights
