This is about the invalid man by the pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-9.
Probably, for the 38 years that he has had that condition, his relationship with the mat had only been one way, the mat always carried him, never the other way around. After Jesus encountered him, he carried the mat! The role was reversed! That is what Jesus can do!
Look at all the stuff life conditions have made you a dependent on and say to them “in Jesus Name, some day soon you will all become a ‘best before’ like grocery stores stamps”. In faith, you may choose to start from your medical prescriptions and go on from there to anything else life has made you a dependent on.
In Jesus Name take up your mat, what you have been lying on, the stuff that life has made you a dependent on and walk!
