Have That On Repeat! Sound Like A Broken Record, If Need Be!

‘’Four times they sent me the same message, and each time I gave them the same answer. ‘’ Nehemiah 6:4

Bible Passage: Nehemiah 6:1-9

Nehemiah was making good progress in building the walls of Jerusalem but his detractors that have dogged him all through the project, namely; Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, suddenly wanted a meeting. Nehemiah knowing they called the meeting out of ill-will with an intent to harm him replied to them saying ‘… “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?” ‘

Four times the trio demanded a meeting and four times he replied with the same retort, no addition or subtraction.

This reminds of when Elijah was told to come down twice, both times he gave the same answer , “if I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!” (2 Kings 1).

Nehemiah and Elijah understood and deployed the power of repetition and affirmation of God’s truth during their crisis moments, gained momentum and had mastery! That’s how it is done in the kingdom! For the believer to succeed, God’s words must be rich in your heart, fluent and be in repeat mode in your mouth (Colossians 3:16). God told Joshua “keep this Book of the Law ALWAYS ON YOUR LIPS; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful “ (Joshua 1:8)

Check up on everything the Bible says you are and you have and if any of those are challenged, pull up the applicable scripture/s and hit repeat.  You can add more if you like but there should be some that are foundational and functional in that particular area that you can repeat all day long.  If the enemy ever questions your salvation, you can have Romans 10:9 on repeat. If he says no one loves or you are unlovable, put God’s love declaration in Jeremiah 31:3 on repeat,  ‘’the Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “ I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.’’ You may wish to mix it with Song of Solomon 2:4 KJV “He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.”

Do not be afraid to sound like a broken record when it comes to declaring God’s truth over your life and situation!  Go ahead and have that on repeat!
