Minutes Read.

As titled and reported online by the Leadership Newspaper, April 24, 2026. In a lighthearted moment at a recent business forum, the Ghanian President explained this phenomenal, although housewives were also included in his original narration.

He isn’t alone in using such curious analogies to explain economics. There’s a NYT bestseller written by a University of Chicago economist and a NYT journalist titled: SuperFreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes, and Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance.”  These are indeed interesting times.

As Christ followers we should abhor,
abstain from and abandon all forms of sexual immorality; whether it serve for the purposes of personal or national economic benefit, or not. Joseph stood to gain a lot by being Madam Potiphar’s side-dude, but he knew he stood to lose far more if he acquiesced.

Our common ire is usually reserved for the homewrecking side chicks. Unlike us, Jesus would also hold an equal ire for the ‘players’, the men whose side chicks they are.

Should we want to get all too judgmental; he would nudge us on with ‘he that he that is without sin let him cast the first stone’. Then, with zero tolerance for their sins, to the culprits he would say ‘neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.’

Specifically to the side chick, he would probably remind that, he Jesus, is of the ancestry of David, making perhaps the most popular sexual transactional woman in history, Rahab the Harlot, his multigenerational grandmother.

If God had such a grand and enviable purpose for a woman like Rahab, he has one for you too. Being a side-chick isn’t any of it, nor a side-dude, nor even a player.

This is why you must keep running away from sexual immorality...” 1 Cor. 6‬:‭18‬a ‭TPT‬‬
