WHY SEE? – SEE! (Part 2)

Why see? The benefits are countless, here are some:

Why See? Because, that’s Jesus first order of business with you, that’s where your real kingdom inheritance begins, as outlined when Jesus called Paul in Acts 26:18 KJV: “to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Jesus main grind with His people back then was “…  they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand…” (Matt. 13:13 KJV).

Why See? Because  the Bible is a sealed book: “.. the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed..:” (Is. 29‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬). It will remain sealed with the mysteries therein inaccessible to you until you can see. You will only deal in “the letter that kills, not the spirit that gives life” (2 Cor. 3:6), until you can see. Apostle John summarized the disciples’ initial incomprehension of Jesus’ resurrection as “… they still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead..” (John 20:8-9 NIV). Until you see and understand it from the scriptures, it might be happening right in front of and all around you and you won’t still get it! Let’s not forget that these are Jews whose societal standing and identity were steeped in ability to learn and recite the scriptures. Not only that, they have also spent the last 3 years in Jesus’ Bible School who repeated over and over that he will die and rise again! Yet they still did not get it! One can spend a whole lifetime with the Bible and in church and still not get it! Little wonder in Luke’s account, the last thing Jesus did before His ascension was “then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures” (Luke 24:45 NIV).

Why See? Because, many kingdom realities, if not all, answer to sight. It is as far as your eyes can see; “… the Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession” (Gen. 13:14-15 NLT). When Elisha asked for double of Elijah’s spirit, Elijah responded “… if you see it happen, you will receive that spirit...’” (2 Kings 2:10 EASY). To have it, you must first see it.

Why See? Because, your potency and capacity, as a minister even as a Christian isn’t only dependent on your gifts, calling and anointing, but also what you have seen and will still see. Jesus said to Paul ”…I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me” (Acts 26:16 NIV). Apostle John said “that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life” (1 John 1:1 NIV). This is why Moses had no second thoughts throwing down his rod in front of Pharaoh and doing many signs with it in Egypt, because he had earlier seen what the rod can do in Mt. Horeb. It wasn’t only Impartation that emboldened Elisha to part River Jordan with a cloak, he has seen it done before. Many things we call anointing is a function of what the minister has seen. Before you desire a man’s unction first seek to see what he has seen. Impartation without the associated vision is a recipe for frustration.

Why See? Because, seeing is the key to unlocking hard and impossible things. For every hard and impossible thing there’s something that you can see to unlock them:  “you have asked a difficult thing, Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not” (2 Kings 2:10 NIV). God told Jeremiah “Look (SEE), I am AdonaiAdonai, the God of every living creature; is there anything too hard for me?” Jer. 32:27 CJB. The weeping may continue until you see,  “I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! SEE, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals” (Rev, 5:4-5 NIV).

Why See? Because, it is perhaps the cheapest formula for the prophetic. Both in the more common visionary/revelation prophetic dimension and the utterance/declarative dimension, especially the latter. While there’s the Mark 11:22&23 faith alpha formula to say it and see it happen. There’s also another method to this, that Jesus hinted in Luke 12:54-55: “… “when you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is” (Luke 12:54-55 NIV). Just like it is in the physical that you can see shifts in the atmosphere and accurately predict what will happen next, same way it is in the spirit.  There is a ‘west rising cloud’ that brings rain and ‘south wind’ that brings heat in the spirit. There are shifts in the spirit that if you see, sense and speak accordingly, be you a prophet or not, you can either bring yourself rain or heat, I will suggest the former.

“The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them” (Prov. 20:12 KJV); Lord, please grants us both in Jesus Name

Thanks so much. I kind of skirted the usual blogging format as I felt led to make it an exhaustive read.
