Benjamin contemplated the dark prospect of being a slave. All for a cup he did not steal. Probably thinking ‘’why me, this is so unfair?’’ Neither him, nor any of his brothers knew that it was all a set up for a greater outcome. They were standing right at the edge of a life upgrade, a phenomenal one!
For some, the reason for your predicament, especially the one/s you may feel you did nothing to deserve, and you keep saying ‘why me’, may justbe because you are being divinely set up. Joseph must have had many why-me-situations but each of those pushed him closer to the palace.
For all problems, resolutions should be sought. There are some problems, if not all, that have divine components to them. There are even specific ones that may seem to defy all reason, all logic, all solutions – often those are divine set-ups.
The continuing childlessness of Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth despite their piety was because their wombs were being prepared to carry sons of destiny. Job’s illogical suffering wasn’t so from God’s perspective. For not failing God’s integrity test, he got double for his trouble – what a model for us all!
It’s me because I’m God’s choice for His glory. Knowing that God is in all situations, turning them for my ultimate good should make me to relax when faced with adversity. Thank you for choosing Benjamin for your write up. I never saw it that way before.

Most times in the moment we can’t grasp what’s going on even God tells us point blank. No matter how much Jesus tried to explain His departure to the disciples they just couldn’t get it, not until Acts 2. That’s why the old hymn says we will understand it better by and by.
God is always up to something, we can learn to trust that the ‘something’ is always good, even if the situation seems contrary.
Jer 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
