Read Time: 2 Minutes
Every coma, every period, every phrase and every sentence in God’s word, no matter how inconsequential it may appear has a revelation behind it. God, if he wants to, can reroute your entire life using an obscure dot in an obscure line from His word.
Listening to Acts 21 recently and verse 3 played “after sighting Cyprus and passing to the south of it, we sailed on to Syria. We landed at Tyre, where our ship was to unload its cargo.” This is one of those flyover verses that ordinarily would not catch our attention. Not this time! It felt as if I was challenged with ‘’do you have a place where you do what this ship did? Where and when you unload your burdens and cargos?’’
Sir and Ma’am may I redirect these same questions to you? Do you have an unloading dock? These days, nobody needs a loading dock, it comes readymade factory-fitted. Life, if you let it, is happy to provide you with as many loading docks of troubles and worries as much as possible.
However, the decision to unload is yours as it was the ship’s captain. There should be a time and a place when and where you draw the line, undo the burdens, unload the cargos. A place described thus in Psalm 61:2 KJV “from the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, When my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Wondering what that ‘higher than I rock’ is? “ … That Rock was Christ” says Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:4, although in that context he was talking about the rock that provided water. You would note that it was qualified as a spiritual rock. Hence Peter said “casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). Just unload on Jesus! He is good for it.
In case you are yoked to a burden or a cargo that you can’t seem to break free from by yourself? Jesus is good for that still, Isaiah 10:27 KJV, “and it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Anointing is one thing that Jesus has without measures. In the name of Jesus Christ – the Anointed One, be set free!

Amen! Thanks for the encouragement!
When one hasn’t prayed for some time, the load is heavy. When there are no friends to share some thoughts with, one feels the weight. Thank you so much for this my brother. May God give us the grace to unburden in prayer! May we have people we can run to and unload our pains and griefs!
Amen. Thank you sir!
