“They told him, “Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.” Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.” (Gen. 45:26 NIV).
Jacob lost Joseph as a teenager. With the blood stained cloak, Joseph was reported dead by his own brothers.
Later on, beyond Jacob’s wildest of imaginations, he got the news that Joseph was still alive. Joseph reappeared not as a deprived scrawny teenager, as often the case. Rather, as a full grown man. As a ruler, a Prime Minister!
I pray, may you never ever lose anything that precious to you. In case you have lost anything; health, peace, time, money, relationships, opportunities etc. May they all be coordinated, restituted and restored back to you in the ‘teenager to ruler’ or even greater measures. May what you think was gone forever resurface bigger and better.
This is the way I like it, I think you will too: “… this very day I’m declaring a double bonus – everything you lost returned twice-over!” (Zech. 9:12 MSG).
